You Already Know

You Already Know

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.”

Lao Tzu (6th Century poet, founder of Taoism)

The challenge is to access that knowledge and understanding; the world has always conspired to keep it hidden with its insistent noise and important business.

Intentionally spending time being quiet and still ‒ time that used to occur naturally in the rhythms of our daily lives ‒ can give the subtle inner voices a chance to be heard over the din.

They don’t have to be prolonged or tedious times. 5 minutes here, 15 there, will do it. It’s cumulative and, the more you do it, the more you enjoy it.

For now, just breathe softly for a moment or two.
