“The only thing that keeps us from floating off with the wind is our stories. They give us a name and put us in a place, allow us to keep on touching.”

Tom Spanbauer (1946-  ) American writer

“Stories are a communal currency of humanity”

Tahir Shah (1966-  ) English writer

It seems to me that one of the important things that we are called upon to accomplish in this life is, in some way, to keep track of, and share, our stories. Because, all put together, they make up our life as well as connect us with all the stories of Earth, human, animal, and all of Nature.

No matter what you might think, you do have stories, many of them, and they are important. If you haven’t already, begin now to identify your stories ‒ long and short, happy and sad, adventuresome and ordinary. Write them down or record them, but in some way tell them! to the world, to us.
